Meet Dr. Abel Hernandez

Abel J. Hernandez, DDS

Dr. Abel Hernandez completed his dental training at Columbia University in New York City. He remained there an additional year to complete a post graduate residency serving our nation’s veterans at the Brooklyn VA Hospital. Born and raised in Fullerton, he has many personal connections to his patients and their families. He was a multisport athlete at Fullerton High School and that is also where he met his wife Latoya. They welcomed their first child, a baby boy named Atreyu, in October 2018 and their second child, a baby girl named Aurora, in August 2020. They currently reside in Sunset Beach.

When not practicing dentistry, Dr. Abel likes to stay in the water and enjoys surfing and paddleboarding. He has recently taken up photography, which is also very important to practicing dentistry! Being able to practice in the City of Fullerton has been extremely rewarding, since he gets to help out the community that molded him. Dr. Abel likes to stay in tuned with the newest advances in dentistry and strives to provide his patients with a “Modern Dental Experience.”
